Flooding in Burlington after heavy rains in area

Flooding has been reported on a major road in Burlington after the heavy rains in the area on Friday (July 2).
Halton Regional Police Service are advising drivers to avoid Mainway just west of Burloak Drive, where water appears to have completely covered the road. The City of Burlington’s roads department has been notified.

Some 30 to 40 millimetres of rain were expected to fall on the area on Friday, Environment Canada said.
