Five people seriously hurt in Milton collision

Five people are in life threatening condition in hospital after an accident today on Steeles Avenue near James Snow Parkway.

All five were occupants of a white passenger van, which collided with a Honda minivan at about 9:20 a.m.

There were no injuries reported from the other vehicle and no other information released by police.

Halton Police are on the scene investigating, with the westbound lanes of Steeles closed from No. 5 Sideroad to James Snow Parkway.

Lane reductions are also in effect for eastbound traffic. Police are asking drivers to avoid the area.
