First tax bill of 2024 due this month in Halton Hills

Ratepayers in Halton Hills have their first installment due for their 2004 tax bills later this month.

Notices were mailed out early last week indicating a payment is due on Feb, 29.

Taxes are collected during four installment periods throughout the year.

The second payment is due April 30 followed by due dates of June 28 and Sept. 30.

The blended tax rate this year, which includes Halton Region and local school boards, is a 6.06 per cent increase from 2023. This figure amounts to an additional $51.64 increase per $100,000 of a home’s assessment.
