Firefighters Battling Blaze in Burlington

Emergency crews are on scene at a suspicious church fire in Burlington early Wednesday.
The blaze broke out at Trinity Baptist Church, at 4372 Appleby Line, at 1:18 a.m.

Flames were visible upon arrival.
The blaze was knocked down but there’s extensive damage to the structure, say Halton police.
No injuries were reported.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office is being called in.
It’s too early in the investigation to know the cause or the estimated damage, say police.

UPDATE: Appleby Line remains closed in both directions at No. 2 Sideroad. Avoid the area.
