Firefighter charged after alleged altercation with Halton EMS staff at Oakville hotel

An Oakville firefighter is facing multiple charges after an alleged on-duty altercation with two Halton EMS staff members.
In the early morning hours of Sunday (Oct. 8), Halton EMS staff responded to a call at a hotel room in Oakville and requested the assistance of the Oakville Fire Department.
During the call, an alleged altercation took place between two Halton EMS staff members and a member of the Oakville Fire Department.
Halton Regional police were contacted and conducted an investigation into the incident.
On Tuesday (Oct. 10), police arrested Brett Eyers, 52, of Oakville. Eyers has been charged with two counts of assault. The accused was released from custody pending a court date in Milton.
