Christmas hasn’t been too good for a Burlington family forced out of their home because of a fire.
Reports say the fire broke out around 4 p.m. on Christmas Day around 4 p.m. at the house located on Glen View Ave.
Firefighters who arrived at the scene found heavy smoke and flames coming from the front of the house.
Those who live in the home managed to escape without any injuries.
Fire officials say it took several hours to completely extinguish the fire which is believed to be caused by a failure in the electrical system.
Reports say the extensive damage was done to the front porch and the attic of the home.
Seven emergency vehicles were on the scene to battle the blaze.
