Fires set at a Tims Hortons and a Burlington health centre have led to charges against a pair of local teens.

Halton Regional Police say the incidents unfolded on June 6 before 7 p.m. when two people went into a washroom at Halton Family Health Care on Walkers Line and started a fire. Fire crews were called and the building was evacuated.

Up to $50,000 in damage was caused by the fire.

Later, police believe the same pair went into a nearby Tim Hortons on Dundas St. and set a fire in the washroom there before leaving the scene.

A short time later, acting on witness description, police arrested two people.

Both face a number of arson-related charges. Because of their ages, their names have not been released.
