Family sports grill in Oakville has famous chicken wings, burgers and more

For residents living in or near Oakville’s Bronte Village, Firehall needs no introduction, having been around for more than 20 years.

The popular firehouse-themed restaurant, located in the heart of Bronte at 2390 Lakeshore Rd W, is geared towards sports fans and families alike with more than 20 TVs throughout the restaurant. Whether you’re seated at the bar or elsewhere in the restaurant, Firehall’s energetic environment is one of the best places to catch the game.

No sports game is complete without some good food and drinks to go with it, and Firehall’s extensive menu aims to please. 

The most popular menu item is their famous chicken wings: Huge breaded wings, lightly seasoned for a quality taste that customers can vouch for.  Options include 1 or 2 lbs of wings, veggies on the side, and the option for no breading.

Firehall’s premium burgers are made with a grind of premium chuck and hanger steak that are kept fresh, never frozen. Their signature burger is the Bronte Deluxe Burger: Lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, chermoula mayonnaise, American cheese and bacon on a toasted potato bun. 

Burger lovers should know that more burgers will be added to Firehall’s menu over time, so keep an eye out!

Another of their most popular dishes is one that might surprise you: Aboo’s Chicken Curry, which is a dish of traditional Indian curry with a spice blend made in-house, chicken, basmati rice, mixed vegetables and naan bread.

It was named after Aboo, a valuable member of the restaurant’s kitchen staff for the past 20 years. This mainstay family recipe has been on the menu for the past 15 years.

Pair your meal with anything off of Firehall’s drinks selection: A wide variety of wine, beer, and cocktails. There’s no shortage of options here, with the restaurant’s growing list of local and imported drafts currently at 19 and counting.

One of the best things about Firehall is its unique décor and firehouse theme, with miniature fire trucks and firehouse memorabilia photographs on display. And if you prefer to dine outdoors during the summer, the restaurant’s huge patio boasts 150 seats and a roll-up garage door.

Firehall also has a number of ongoing special promotions, including 10% off for firefighters and emergency response workers, and a free kids meal on Mondays with the purchase of a regular meal.

The restaurant offers takeout and delivery as well.
