Fallen tree prompts temporary road closure in Milton

Halton Regional Police are advising motorists of a temporary road closure this morning in the Town of Milton due to a fallen tree, as city crew work to clear the area and take care of electrical repairs.
On Sunday (July 30) shortly after 5 a.m., police responded to the area of Derry Rd. / Britannia Rd., north of Burlington for a tree that had tipped over.
Police say Hydro personnel are on the scene to carry out repairs.
Investigators have not mentioned the extent of the damage the fallen tree caused.
Drivers are asked to take alternate routes for the time being.
It is unknown when the roads will open back up to the public.
