Milton residents who enjoy taking a stroll around Mill Pond may run into some trail closures and detours over the next few weeks.

There will be localized closures beginning this month to get ready for erosion prevention and rehabilitation construction efforts in the summer.

“The trail surrounding Mill Pond will be closed in sections, as contactors work on different sections,” said a Town spokesperson. “Crews will put up signs whenever resident safety is a concern, or when trails are blocked.”

The work will start this month and continue through March and it involves removing trees and branches. This is in preparation for more work this summer, which will involve erosion prevention and rehabilitation.

Walker, hikers and joggers are advised to keep an eye out for signage which will safely guide them around the park.
