According to the official website, the Sound of Music Festival first started in 1980 (this year marks the 40thanniversary of the festival) and only consisted of a marching band parade. Now, the popular event is recognized as the largest music event in the region and attracts around 200,000 people.
In addition to the music at the festival, there will also be a family zone, a carnival, a parade, and a variety of vendors.
