Emergency work will bring road closures to Burlington
Published December 22, 2023 at 10:52 am
Emergency road work in Burlington will see ongoing closures of some major roads and the diversion of traffic through the area.
The work is being carried out on the North Service Rd. and King Rd. and has already started.
Immediate attention was needed due to the collapse of two culverts in the area that are used for stormwater drainage.
Work will continue on the project until the end of March.
There will be ongoing lane restrictions within the construction area.
A two-stage full road closure is proposed at the North Service Rd. and King Rd. intersection. The road closures will be staged such that only one road is closed at a time to minimize traffic disruptions. The King Rd. closure will occur over weekends and vehicle access will be restored by the following weekday.
Detour routes will be posted near the site.
