Eight cars were broken into overnight in southeast Burlington and Halton police are advising residents to remove valuables.
If “things are in plain view and the vehicles are unlocked, they are more likely to be targeted,” said Sgt. Dana Nicholas.
Several vehicles – along Burloak Dr, Tottenham Rd., Brady Ave,. Lampman Ave., Sheraton Rd., and Boxley Rd.- had windows smashed and door locks popped between 7 p.m. on Nov. 15 and 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 16.
Sunglasses, cologne, a purse, loose change, cigarettes, and construction tools are among the items lifted by thieves.
It’s likely the cars were randomly targeted, say police.
