The newly-renovated first floor at Burlington City Hall will allow for eaier access to services.

The City of Burlington hopes the newly renovated first floor at City Hall will make it easier for residents to access services such as paying bills and registering for programs.

With the new look, you can go to the Service Burlington counter for:

  • tax payments
  • commissioning
  • marriage licenses
  • parking permits
  • parking tickets
  • registration for City programs
  • general information

As well, now through the first floor, you can visit the Building, Renovating and Licensing counter for information about:

  • pre-building permits
  • building permits
  • zoning clearance
  • the Committee of Adjustment
  • business, personal, lottery and liquor licenses
  • pool permits
  • sign permits

Physically, the renovations include a new 40-foot bridge across the opening of the atrium, a wider entrance from Locust St. with sliding doors,  a light-filled lobby featuring a larger, furnished customer area that can double as a space for City events as required, and customer service counters with adjustable height, for improved accessibility
