Drug trafficking investigation leads to numerous charges for Oakville man

An Oakville man is facing multiple charges after a Halton Regional Police drug trafficking investigation led to the seizure of numerous drugs, cash and a Taser.
Members of the 2 District Street Crime Unit executed search warrants at an Oakville residence on Wednesday (June 21) and as a result the following items (pictured below) were seized:
- Two ounces of cocaine
- One ounce of methamphetamines
- One extended magazine (holds 31 rounds of ammunition)
- One Conductive Energy Weapon (commonly referred to as a “Taser”)
- 13 rounds of 40 calibre ammunition
- 12 rounds of 45 calibre ammunition
- One functioning scale,
- One functioning pill press
- $800 in Canadian currency
- Stolen identity documents (documents reported stolen to Hamilton Police)
Daniel Hackett, 32, of Oakville was arrested and has been charged with:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (Cocaine)
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (Methamphetamines)
- Trafficking (cocaine)
- Trafficking (methamphetamines)
- Possession of a prohibited device contrary to order
- Possession of ammunition contrary to order
- Possession of a prohibited device
- Possession of property obtained by crime – under $5000 (2 Counts)
