Drop off hazardous household waste, electronics for residents of Milton, Oakville, Burlington

Halton Region is offering residents of Milton, Oakville, Burlington and Halton Hills a chance to get rid of unwanted household hazardous waste and old electronics.
The Special Waste Drop-off Day is Saturday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the parking lot at Elements Casino, 93 Guelph Line, just north of Highway 401.
Being accepted as household hazardous waste are items like solvents and glues, mercury-containing devices, partially-full paint cans, aerosol cans, fluorescent or CFL bulbs, pesticides, fertilizers and garden chemicals, automotive liquids and oil filters, medication and sharps, batteries and waste cooking oil.
Items counted as electronic waste include:
- Computers and modems
- Monitors
- TVs and receivers
- Stereos and speakers (including vehicle stereos)
- DVD, VCR & Blue-ray players
- Cameras/camcorders (including security cameras)
- Cellphones, home phones
- Printers, copiers, fax machines
- Headphones
- Electronic musical instruments
- Printer Cartridges
- Video gaming devices
- Drones with audio/visual recording equipment
- All peripherals and cables (including charging cables)
