Drivers need to be aware of planned highway closures in Burlington, Oakville, Milton

The last minute rush to finish roadwork is here in Burlington, Oakville and Milton as several highway closures are on the schedule this week.

The QEW eastbound, between Bronte Rd. in Oakville and Hwy. 427 in Toronto will see alternating lane closures until Sept. 1 at 5 a.m.

The QEW eastbound, between Guelph Line and Walkers Line in Burlington will have multiple lane closures until Aug. 30 at 5 a.m.

Highway 401 has several planned interruptions beginning tonight, Aug. 29:

  • eastbound between Fifth Line in Milton and Hwy. 407, two alternating lanes closed until Sept. 1 at 5 a.m.
  • eastbound between Regional Road 25 and James Snow Pkwy. in Milton, multiple lanes closed until Sept. 1 at 5 a.m.
  • eastbound express between James Snow Pkwy., and Hwy. 407, alternating lane closed until Sept. 1 at 5 a.m.
  • eastbound on-ramp at James Snow Pkwy., closed until Sept. 1 at 2 p.m.
  • eastbound on-ramp at Regional Road 25 in Milton closed until Sept. 1 at 2 p.m.
  • eastbound on-ramp at Trafalgar Rd. all lanes closed until Sept. 1 at 2 p.m.
  • westbound between James Snow Pkwy. and Regional Road 25 in Milton, multiple lanes closed until Sept. 1 at 5 a.m.
  • westbound between Trafalgar Rd. and James Snow Pkwy. alternating lanes closed until Sept. 1 at 5 a.m.
  • westbound on-ramp at James Snow Pkwy. closed until Sept. 1 at 2 p.m.
  • westbound on-ramp at Regional Road 25 closed until Sept. 1 at 2 p.m.
  • westbound on-ramp at Trafalgar Rd. closed until Sept. 1 at 2 p.m.

Lastly, the Hwy. 403 westbound express off-ramp at Upper Middle Rd. in Oakville will be closed until Sept. 1 at 5 a.m.
