Driver wanted on a warrant faces charges after truck stop in Milton

Police have laid charges after stopping a vehicle that was carrying a large and unsecured load.

On Wednesday, officers for Halton Regional Police’s Milton division stopped a Ford pickup truck that was carrying a patio table and various other objects, including unsecured metal.

“As the officer went to pull the vehicle over a large piece of steel fell out of the truck,” said police.

Charges were laid against the driver, who police say was wanted on a warrant and had a suspended licence.

The driver has not been identified by police at this time.
