Downtown bakery celebrating 20th anniversary in Oakville with tasty giveaways

There’s a sweet anniversary taking place in downtown Oakville on Saturday (Sept. 16).

Black Forest Bakery, a place where “memories are made, and flavours are cherished” is celebrating its 20^th anniversary.

For two decades the Ziemba family has delivered delicious creations and heartwarming experiences and now the family-owned bakery is looking to thank the community for their sweetness.

“We are so grateful for this amazing community that has supported us since Day 1,” said the family in an Instagram post. “Serving Oakville and the surrounding community for two decades has been the biggest privilege and honour.”

Armed with a passion for baking and time-honoured traditions, the downtown bakery offers everything from pastries to custom cakes.

While the family prides itself on its delectable treats, they have also worked hard to foster an inviting atmosphere, one that welcomes patrons as though they were family.

As for their recipe for success over 20 years, it’s a blend of family tradition, artisan craftsmanship and community connection.

“Downtown Oakville is more than just a location for us; it’s a community that has embraced our family and our bakery,” the Ziemba family told the Downtown Oakville BIA. “The friendly faces, the bustling streets, and the sense of togetherness create an environment that’s perfect for a family-owned business like ours.

“We’ve watched the town evolve over the years, and it’s been a privilege to contribute to its vibrancy.”

To celebrate the special anniversary and thank the customers, the bakery will be giving away treats from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

There’ll be free cookies being handed out and there’ll also be an in-store draw where customers will have the chance to win one of three prizes, including a small chocolate fudge cake, pumpkin pie, and an assorted square box.

Customers can enter their name at the store between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Winners will be drawn and contacted on Sunday (Sept. 17).

“Looking ahead, our commitment to excellence remains steadfast,” said the Ziemba family. “We’re excited to continue blending our traditional recipes with contemporary twists, offering an array of delectable delights that cater to diverse palates.
