Reports indicate that two dogs were rescued from a Burlington house fire today (Jan. 19).

Although the reports have not yet been verified by officials, those at the scene say that firefighters went into the home on Donnic Dr. and brought out the pets.

Halton police say they were called to the scene just before 12:30 p.m.

Crews that arrived on the scene encountered heavy smoke before being told about the dogs.

“Those guys (emergency crew) just went in there and got them (the dogs),” one commentator stated on social media stated.

No injuries have been reported in the fire that broke out in the basement of the home.

The fire, which was brought under control quickly, is still under investigation.
