A dog has died after a fire broke out at a home in Burlington on Sunday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to a kitchen fire at a two-storey detached home on Seton Crescent, where they arrived to find heavy smoke coming from all levels of the house.

Fire crews reportedly found a dog inside the house and performed CPR for an extended period, but the animal could not be revived.
It is unclear how many occupants, if any, were inside the home at the time of the fire. No other injuries were reported.
The amount in damage has not yet been determined and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
