A housing complex slated for a main Burlington thoroughfare will take the next step in its development when it goes through public scrutiny.

The project, slated for 688 to 698 Brant St., calls for an 11-storey mixed-use building with street-level retail stores along the main street with 12, two-store townhomes in the rear of the complex.

A total of 305 residential units will be created if the project comes to fruition.

A public meeting will be held to discuss the proposal, and the City of Burlington’s take on the project, on July 10 at 6:30 p.m. both online and at Burlington City Hall.

Members of the public can take part in the meeting, and find more details about the project, by following this link.

The redevelopment of the site will see the elimination of three low-rise structures.

A pre-proposal community meeting was held last September, but the builder has now officially filed an application to proceed.
