Dedicated bike lines are coming to another Burlington street.
Plans now call for installing the lanes on Prospect St. from Graham Lane to Cumberland Ave.
The protected lanes will also include redesigned intersections to make it safer for cyclists.
In addition, during the conversion, work will also be carried out in the area, including street resurfacing on Dynes Rd. from Prospect St. to New St. and the full length of Regency Crt. and Legion Rd. As well, during this time, water and waste watermains will be installed on Prospect St. from Stevenson Dr. to Cumberland Ave. and the full length of Regency Crt. and on Dynes Rd. from Prospect St. to Woodward Ave.
Work is expected to begin this summer and be carried out in various stages and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
Lane restrictions and road closures are expected during the process.
Last year Burlington opened its first dedicated bike lanes on Plains Rd. from Spring Gardens Rd. to Waterdown Rd.
A virtual public information centre on the Prospect St. project will take place tomorrow, Feb. 6 starting at 6 p.m. The meeting can be joined by following this link bit.ly/ProspectStZoomMeeting (passcode: uxT9Kb).
