Dance the night away at Taylor Swift-themed silent disco in Oakville

A Silent Disco featuring the music of Taylor Swift is being hosted by the Downtown Oakville BIA later this month.

All Swifties are invited to dance the night away at the Taylor Swift Themed Silent Disco: Eras Tour Edition. Local residents are invited to join an unforgettable evening featuring a full Eras Tour playlist that spans Taylor’s iconic career, from her early hits to her Torturered Poets chart toppers.

The event is being held Saturday, Sept. 21, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Towne Square in downtown Oakville.

The three-hour music set starts at 6 p.m. but at 5 p.m., before the silent disco kicks off, everyone is invited to a pre-event where a choreographer and dance instructor will teach you the moves to Shake it Off.

Then, show off your new moves in a group performance for an Instagram-worthy moment right before the main event begins.

“Immerse yourself in the magic of Taylor’s music with a high-energy silent disco experience in the heart of Downtown Oakville,” said a spokesperson.

“Put on your wireless headphones, choose your favourite era, and sing along to every song as we take you on a journey through Taylor Swift’s musical evolution. From country classics to pop anthems, we’ve got all your favourites covered.”

In addition, there will be a pop-up candy store, friendship bracelet-making, and other surprises.
