Cyclist suffers serious injuries after being struck by vehicle in Halton Hills

A cyclist suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Halton Hills over the Thanksgiving long weekend.

On Oct. 10, Halton police responded to a collision between a vehicle and a cyclist at the intersection of Fourth Line and 17 Side Rd. in Halton Hills.

According to police, the incident occurred around 4:15 p.m. and as a result, the area of Fourth Line between 15 Side Rd. and 22 Side Rd. was temporarily closed for an investigation.

 

Constable Ryan Anderson, Media Relations Officer for Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) said the cyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

According to Anderson, the cyclist is still in the hospital but is now in stable condition.

Anderson confirmed that the investigation is not yet complete and that no charges have been laid at this point.
