CLOSURE: Prominent restaurant shuts down in Oakville while new one takes its place

A prominent Oakville restaurant has shuttered its doors after only being open for over a year.

The Wared Mediterranean Resto, which opened in June of 2023, was known for its diverse menu of Middle Eastern cuisine and various lunch and breakfast items.

“The food was absolutely delicious! Very flavourful and fresh. Tasted very authentic. The restaurant is also very nice and welcoming. The workers were incredibly kind and accommodating,” read one review by Maleeha Sheikh.

Local foodies often praised the restaurant online. Now, it appears that another location has popped up in its place.

Last Friday (July 26), The Bloom Coffee Restaurant and Lounge opened its doors in place of the Wared Mediterranean Resto.

The location — near Kerr Village — is the second of its kind, as there is another Bloom Coffee location in Mississauga. According to the location’s official website, The Bloom Coffee Restaurant and Lounge specializes in Middle Eastern-inspired dishes while complimenting them with expertly roasted coffees and teas.
