Child pornograhy and luring investigation lead police to Burlington, Ontario

Halton Police have charged a Burlington man with criminal offences involving a child.

Police are releasing few details but in July the Internet Child Exploitation Unit (I.C.E) started a joint, online investigation with the Ontario Provincial Police utilizing a number of social media platforms.

As a result of the investigation, an arrest was made yesterday (Oct. 3) in Burlington.

Charged with three counts of luring a child and one count of making child pornography is 28-year-old Eric Straughan-Ostrosky.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing. The charges have not been proven in court.

Police are continuing their investigation and are interested in hearing from those who have interacted on social media with someone going  by the name “KingExplosion.”
