Child care centres in Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills show cases of COVID-19

Cases of COVID-19 in five child care centres in Halton Region have been confirmed.

Cases of COVID-19 in five child care centres in Halton Region have been confirmed.

According to the Province of Ontario’s pandemic reporting centre, there are two cases in each of Oakville and Halton Hills. There is one reported case in Milton.

In Oakville, a staff member at one of the four Western Heights Montessori Academy’s has tested positive. It is not known at which location the person works.

Also in Oakville, a child who attends the Parkview Children’s Centre – The Village, has tested positive.

In Halton Hills, children have tested positive for the coronavirus at the YMCA Toronto – George Kennedy YMCA Schoolage Program, and at the Halton Hills Child Care Centre.

Also a case involving a child has been reported at Les Coccinelles in Milton.

The data is compiled by Ontario’s Ministry of Education based on information supplied by the child care centres each day.
