Infrastructure work on the Lakeshore West Line in early July will result in temporary changes for Go Train commuters in Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton and Niagara Falls.

Construction on the Lakeshore West corridor is set to begin Friday, July 7 at 9 p.m. and run through to the end of service on Sunday, July 9. Go buses will be replacing train service between Oakville and Hamilton’s West Harbour Go stations.

While Niagara Falls Go train service will continue to operate through the weekend, it will only be between Niagara Falls and Burlington.

Service between Oakville Go and Union Station will continue as normal over the weekend.

“If you’re able, consider beginning your train trip to Niagara Falls at the Burlington GO or your trip to Toronto at the Oakville GO station,” Metrolinx said in a media release.

Those taking bus shuttles will experience travel times that are longer than normal. Staff will be on hand at each station to answer any questions riders may have.

Lakeshore East customers will have a 15-minute adjustment to their weekend schedule.

Regular services on the Lakeshore West Line will resume on Monday, July 10.
