Celebrate Pride Month with a walk on Oakville’s updated rainbow crosswalk

Residents can now celebrate Pride Month in Oakville with a walk across a recently updated rainbow crosswalk at Kerr Village.

The town has added the progress rainbow flag to the colourful road display at Lakeshore Rd. and Kerr St. in Kerr Village. Residents can also take a walk on painted rainbow crosswalks on Lakeshore Rd. at the intersections of Navy St. and Bronte Rd.

The designs are just part of the town’s efforts to help celebrate Pride Month in June.

The rainbow flag is also being flown at Town Hall all this month in recognition and support of Pride Month and Oakville’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

The Oakville Public Library is also holding various programs this month that celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Check out the OPL’s blog to see what special events have been planned at its local branches.
