Canada’s Wonderland launching Winterfest in November

This year, Canada’s Wonderland will be transforming into a winter Wonderland from November 22 to December 31.

Similar to Halloween Haunt, which opens every year during October, Canada’s Wonderland is launching a new holiday-themed season this winter called Winterfest.

There will be plenty of Christmas-themed attractions for visitors to enjoy, including a Christmas marketplace, a Christmas store, and festive twists on food favourites (such as funnel cakes) from the various food vendors around the park.

The park will be decked out in lights that will be celebrating the many different holidays that are part of the myriad of cultures that make up the GTA including: Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Diwali, Chinese New Year, The Nativity and more.

There will be plenty of singing and music, including performances by the Mistletones—a trio of songstresses who perform classic Christmas carols, the Holley Jolley Trolley—a group of singers performing popular Christmas songs, Jingle Jazz—a group of Dickensian carolers singing renditions of popular Christmas carols, and the holiday hits sing-a-long which will offer everyone a chance to sing their favourite Christmas carols.

There will also be live performances from What The Dickens!? who will be performing their version of the holiday classic—A Christmas Carol.

Visitors with a sweet tooth will enjoy the candy cane café as well as candy cane lane—which will be decked out in holiday decorations and offers the perfect spot for a family holiday photo.

In addition to some holiday twists on some of the rides, the Royal Fountain will be transformed for the holiday season into Snowflake Lake—a giant ice-skating rink surrounded by trees decorated with sparkling lights.

Tickets are currently on sale now and can be purchased at Canada’s Wonderland’s website.
