UPDATE: Burlington woman, 90, reported missing

A description of a 90-year-old woman who is missing in Burlington, and the car she was driving, has been released.

The Halton Regional Police Service issued a bulletin on Thursday (Dec. 2) in regard to Geraldine Sanderson. Sanderson was last seen at 12 noon, in the vicinity of New Street and Walkers Line in Burlington. She was driving a white 2011 Nissan Altima with an Ontario licence plate BMJD 213. It is believed she was driving to the Burlington Mall.

UPDATE: Geraldine Sanderson has been found safe and well. Halton police sent a statement at 11:44 p.m. saying that she was located by Ontario Provincial Police officers near Belfountain, in the Caledon area.

Sanderson is described as five-foot-two with a slim build. She has short, white, grey hair and wears glasses. She is possibly wearing a grey three-quarter length puffy winter jacket.

Anyone with information regarding the missing person or her vehicle is asked to contact the on-duty HRPS Burlington staff sergeant at 905-825-4747 ext. 2310. They can also call 911.
