It’s almost time to register for winter recreation programs run by the City of Burlington.
Online registration will open Saturday, Dec. 11, and the programming calendar is available now at the city website.
This winter, a variety of programs are being offered, including adult in-person and virtual programs, socials and workshops on a variety of topics and interests. Youth programs include offerings for pre-school, school-age and teens.
There are also family programming, Student Theatre, group and private swimming lessons and aquatic leadership courses.
“Participants may notice that most of our registered program capacities have increased compared to the fall programs,” said Chris Glenn, director of Recreation, Community and Culture.
“Going back to pre-pandemic levels while ensuring that both participants and staff remain as safe as possible takes time, so patience is appreciated. We have lots of recreational options for people of all ages and abilities. Check out what we have to offer and be sure to register online early.”
Registering online is the fastest and easiest way to secure your spot for the upcoming winter session.
For those residents who require alternative service, staff-assisted phone-in registration is available. Staff-assisted phone registration is available on registration launch day at 905-335-7738.
For more information on how to register online, visit this city website.
All City programs will continue to follow provincial regulations and public health guidance and to show proof of vaccination for all individuals 12 years old and up (unless otherwise exempt), along with identification and a completed screening is required. Other measures, including physical distancing and wearing masks or face coverings, remain.
Online registration for adults will open at 9 a.m., and youth registration will open at 11 a.m.
