The City of Burlington is inviting residents to participate in an online survey that will help shape the future of housing in the city.

The Housing Strategy is an opportunity to develop creative and innovative solutions for housing in Burlington, that build on and support the Halton Region’s Comprehensive Housing Strategy.

Residents and stakeholders are invited to complete the third housing strategy survey online until Feb. 9 and attend the next Public Information Centre on Feb. 7.

“What residents and stakeholders have shared with us so far is that housing is invaluable to our community,” said Mark Simeoni, director of Community Planning.

“As the City continues work on its housing strategy, we are looking for your feedback. Please fill out the online survey and join us on Feb. 7 at the Burlington Housing Strategy Virtual PIC. It will be an opportunity to learn more about the work completed so far, to have your say and to keep the conversation going as we prepare an innovative housing strategy for Burlington.”

City staff will a give a project update and overview of the work completed to date on the Housing Strategy at the virtual public meeting on Feb. 7 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Stakeholders are encouraged to join the discussion, ask questions, share feedback on the preliminary Themes, Actions and Vision Statement outlined in Chapter 5 of Housing Needs and Opportunities Report.
