Burlington Teen Tour Band looking for new members ahead of overseas trip

One of the city’s most famous institutions, the Burlington Teen Tour Band, is looking for new members for the 2023 season.

One of the highlights on this year’s calendar is a trip to Dublin, Ireland, in March.

The band is open to those ages 13-21. Primary instruments are flutes, clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, lower brass and drumline. But you don’t even have to know how to play an instrument to join, as members are also needed for the colour guard, who carry flags or spin batons.

The Burlington Teen Tour Band is a year-round program and there is no specific join date. New members join throughout the year.

Here are some of the things the BTTB promises to members:

• You will travel and perform for thousands of people
• You will represent your city, province and country around the world
• You will be a part of something that will be a very special memory of your youth
