For Burlington native Heather Eagleson, her lottery win is well deserved.

Just ask her mom.

The 54-year-old business owner recently won the $100,000 top prize with Instant Suit Up (Game #23560).

Eagleson went to validate her tickets at the store when the words “Big Winner” appeared on the screen. She immediately notified her husband and mom she had won.

“They were both so happy for me,” she smiled. “My mom was ecstatic and said it couldn’t have happened to a nicer person.”

Eagleson has been playing the lottery for years and points to Instant tickets, Lotto Max, and Lotto 6/49as her favourite plays. This is her first big win.

“It was exciting and surreal,” she said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her win.

As for what to do with her new found influx of cash, Eagleson wants to plan a vacation and support her granddaughter’s future. “It’s a terrific feeling. This has been an overwhelming and unbelievable experience,” she concluded.

Eagleson purchased the winning ticket at Gore Gifts &Variety on Lakeshore Blvd. in Burlington.
