Burlington man shot in leg, police look for witnesses

Police continue to hunt for the person who shot a Burlington man in the leg yesterday afternoon (April 3).
Halton Regional Police say as of now they don’t have a description of the suspect or if others were involved that left the victim in serious condition in hospital.
Police were called to the scene of a high-rise building near 2400 New St. at Guelph Line just before 2 p.m. where the victim was found.
Investigators say there is no ongoing risk to public safety as sources indicate it was a targeted shooting.
The item of the victim is not known only that he is a man in his 30s. Police are still investigating at the scene and hope to come up with a description of the person they are looking for later in the day.
