Burlington Man Charged With Drug Trafficking

A 25-year-old Burlington man is facing seven charges in connection with a drug trafficking investigation.

A 25-year-old Burlington man is facing seven charges in connection with a drug trafficking investigation.

The Halton police street crime unit concluded a drug investigation on Oct. 26, resulting in the arrest of one suspect.

Investigators executed a search warrant at the suspect’s home on Castleguard Cres., near Guelph Line and Fairview St., that resulted in the seizure of the following: cocaine (one gram); marijuana (123 grams); Percocet pills (51); a pill press; white powder believed to be a cutting agent; two digital scales; two cellphones; $800 in cash; machete; two throwing knives.

The estimated street value of drugs seized is $1,500.

Emanuel DaSilva Thomas is charged with trafficking marijuana, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of Percocet for the purpose of trafficking, and three counts of breaching probation.

He was held pending a bail hearing.
