Burlington looking for local residents to sit on city boards and commissions

If you’ve ever wanted to sit on a City of Burlington board, commission or committee, now’s your chance.

According to city clerk Kevin Arjoon, every currently publicly-appointed position on Burlington’s various boards and commissions are expiring, so there will be plenty of available spots.

  • Downtown Parking Advisory Committee
  • Heritage Burlington Advisory Committee
  • Inclusivity Advisory Committee
  • Integrated Transportation Advisory Committee
  • Seniors’ Advisory Committee
  • Sustainable Development Advisory Committee
  • Burlington Hydro
  • Burlington Public Library
  • Conservation Halton
  • Museums of Burlington
  • Committee of Adjustment
  • Council Remuneration Review Working Group
  • Greater Bay Area Sub-committee
  • Joint Compliance Audit Committee
  • Mundialization Committee

Board and committee members provide advice and feedback to council and staff on a variety of issues in the city.

Residents must be at least 18 years old to serve and the city endeavours to find candidates who represent the diverse backgrounds of the community.
