Burlington Cougars Win exhibition game

The Burlington Cougars kicked off their Ontario Junior A Hockey League preseason with a 6-4 win over the visiting Brantford 99ers last Friday.

The game marked the return to the ice for many players after missing last season due to the COVID-19 layoff.

Brantford jumped out to a 4-2 lead in the second, but the Cougars roared back with three unanswered. Nathan Duplessis, Ethan Flintoff and Noah Reinhart all scored for Burlington.

The third period turned into a defensive struggle before Isaac Faccio sealed the win with an empty netter.
