The annual Artwalk in southeast Burlington is being held next weekend at Burloak Waterfront Park.
The event will be a showcase for an active group of local artists in the area.
“We have 20 local artists, showing their work in the park,” said organizer Heather deHaan of the Elizabeth Gardens Creative Collective.
“There’s also fun art experience stations like chalk art, pastel impressions, paint a rock, craft a watercolour bookmark, try some ink painting and more. It’s all totally free for all ages and stages. It’s a great way to end the summer.”
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27. If you register at the event website, you’ll receive an Art Walk map and a chance to win some original artwork and prizes.
Burloak Waterfront Park is located at 5420 Lakeshore Rd. and is fully accessible. There is limited parking available, so organizers recommend active transportation like walking, biking or rolling.
