A housing complex has been approved along one of Burlington’s main streets.

The City of Burlington has given the go-ahead to the project which will see an 11-storey condo built at 688 to 698 Brant St.

This project will also also include street-level stores along Brant as well as 12, two-storey townhomes in the the rear of the complex.

A total of 305 residential units will be created at the site.

The building will also accommodate 462 car parking spaces through three levels of an underground garage. A total of 129 bicycle parking spaces will also be provided underground.

The redevelopment of the site will see the elimination of three low-rise structures.

Two public meetings have been held to discuss the project which will now proceed after a few planning adjustments were made.

It is not known when the project will start or when the expected completion will be.
