The Bronte GO Station in Oakville is now fully open after a suspicious package scare, although Halton police are still continuing their investigation.

Around 6:30 a.m. today, Feb. 6, Halton police responded to reports of an unattended package at the Bronte GO Station at 2104 Wyecroft Rd.

During the investigation, which lasted several hours, the station was shut down and the tracks were closed, preventing many people from commuting into Toronto.

At around 10:30 a.m., police gave the all clear, saying the package wasn’t explosive. However, there are still officers on site, investigating whether the package was left there intentionally.

The station is now fully open and all trains are running.
