Broken water main causing road collapse in Burlington

Residents should be aware of a road closure this afternoon.

Residents should be aware of a road closure this afternoon.

As of 6:00 p.m. police are reporting a broken water main at 3455 Mainway, which is causing the entire roadway to flood with water and collapse.

Mainway is currently closed between Walkers Line and Blair Road until further notice.

Region of Halton crews are on scene.

All residents should avoid the area and take alternate routes.
