Drivers in Milton should avoid Britannia Rd., east of Sixth Line, as ongoing improvements means the road is often down to one lane, total, for all traffic.

According to a driver who was on it today, the single lane is being controlled by a light system, not a construction worker with a sign, and that is leading to even more anxiety for drivers.

The Britannia improvements has been going on for several years and it was only recently that the Omagh bypass opened to drivers, making traffic flow much easier around Fourth Line.

This phase of the construction is expected to last until December, 2024.
