Brazen thief walks out of Burlington Home Depot with cartload of tools

A man openly stealing tools from Home Depot in Burlington pulled a knife on a store employee before taking off with the goods.

The incident unfolded at the store located at 3050 Davidson Court yesterday (Oct. 31) around 7:30 p.m.

According to Halton police reports, a man was observed placing a number of power tools into a cart and then proceeded to leave the store without paying for any of the goods.

Once outside the man was confronted by a store employee. It was then that the suspect pulled out a knife and made threatening gestures to the staff member.

Police said the suspect then fled from the scene with the stolen tools.

At this time, only a vague description of the suspect is available. He is described as a man between the ages of 20 to 30 with short hair and tattoos on his hands. He was wearing black clothing.
