Booze, beer available at dozens of Oakville convenience stores next week

More than 40 convenience stores in Oakville will be selling beer and liquor beginning next week.

First announced last spring by the Doug Ford provincial government, convenience stores in Ontario that have been granted a licence will begin selling alcohol on Thursday, Sept. 5.

Approved locations will be allowed to sell beer, wine, cider and coolers, joining grocery stores, the Beer Store, the LCBO, and other specialty shops.
