A bomb threat has forced the evacuation of a Burlington school.
Halton police say the threat was made at Nelson High School on New St. in Burlington this afternoon forcing students out of the classroom this afternoon (Nov.1).
No injuries have been reported but police are continuing their investigation.
The news follows reports of similar bomb threats at schools across the GTA and other parts of Ontario today.
Students at the school have since been told to go home and awaiting instructions about returning to classes tomorrow.
Nelson has 1,375 students and includes Grades 9 through 12.
Toronto police say several schools in that city’s west end have been evacuated due to similar threats and the OPP say schools in northern and eastern parts of the province have also been threatened.
