Oakville native Julia-Alexander-Carew has been named the Canada West women’s golfer of the week.

It’s the second consecutive week the University of British Columbia Okanagan student has been recognized.

Alexander-Carew earned the back-to-back weekly nods after capturing her second first-place finish at an NCAA Division II tournament in three days.

The UBC golfer followed up last week’s win at the True North Classic, with another top finish on the Riverway Golf Course in Burnaby, B.C.

Alexander-Carew would finish with an even 72 to edge out the field of 64 golfers from 11 schools.

The Oakville golfer joins Jaeli Ibbetson and Justin Towill as the only athletes from the school to be named Canada West Athlete of the Week on multiple occasions since the conference began the process in 2021-22.
