Authentic Mexican restaurant opens new takeout shop in Oakville

A popular Mexican restaurant in Oakville has opened a new eatery focussed on grab-and-go and delivery.
La Bodega, brought to you by Por Vida, has opened at 2330 Lakeshore Rd. W., on the corner of Nelson St., to great local acclaim.
The authentic Mexican cuisine has a focus on burritos, but there are plenty more options to whet your appetite.
The burritos come in two sizes, the El Classico and the Big Papi with varieties including pork and grilled pineapple, chicken, steak, chilaquiles and lamb. You can also get them in bowls.
Sides include Mexican corn, salads, guacamole, soup, beans. There are also special drinks available, including Mexican Coke, Topo Chico water, Jarritos, Jumex and Sidral Mundet.
Some of the more unusual treats include Mexican popsicles in mango, coconut or chocolate flavours, Gansito snack cake, Mazapan crumbly peanut candy, Duvalin, and artisanal Mexican candies.
Also available at the shop are a wide selection of Por Vida sauces like Salsa Negra, Tatemada, Jalapeno Emulsion, Salsa Morita, Salsa Macha, Moirta Aioli and mole.
Visitors can also stock up on native Mexican ingredients like oaxaca and cotija cheese, dried chiles, and chorizo.
La Bodega is open Thursdays to Saturdays from noon to 9 p.m. and Sundays noon to 8 p.m.
